"She Takes a Stand Against Liberation" from 1970

Gentle Readers,

I hope that everyone is feeling well, doing good, and sharing her joie de vivre!

While I was working away at my blogoir this morning (after caring for my family and our little home, of course), I received an alert from the New York Times for this article about Mrs. Andelin:  "She Takes a Stand Against Liberation" from 1970.

Although the article includes some factual mistakes, what I found interesting about the article was Mrs. Andelin's take on the degradation of the women who embrace The Four Feminine Roles:  “Women's lib has degraded women's importance in the home, making pots, pans and children menial tasks and urging women to find fulfillment in contributions outside the home.”

The more things change; the more they remain the same.

Agape always,
Cynthia
